Join Mayor Robert Price and mayors from Hampton, Stockbridge, and McDonough, for a virtual town hall meeting hosted by Henry County Commission Chair June Wood, Thursday April 23, 2020 at 10:00 AM. During the virtual town hall, attendees will learn about community health objectives and updates, hear from top health experts, and Henry County Emergency Management. The virtual meeting will also consist of a Q&A session for the city mayors and public via Facebook Live.
Panelists for the town hall include:
- Dr. Olugbenga Obasanjo, MD, District 4 Department of Public Health Director, who will discuss County hot spots, describe testing in Henry County & partnerships with CDC, GEMA, and other agencies;
- Don Ash, Henry County Emergency Management Director, who will discuss Coronavirus Task Force Overview, local EMS COVID-19 Prevention, Resource Successes & Needs;
- Dr. Lily Henson, CEO, Piedmont Henry Hospital, to discuss Patient Profiles available resources and needs.
A second meeting is being scheduled for later in the month and is expected to include panelists from the Board of Education, the Henry County Chamber of Commerce, Connecting Henry and the Henry County CDBG Department. Topics of discussion will include distance learning, meals, homeschooling tips; small business resources; the CARES Act; and services and collaborative resources.
