Transportation is the key to any good investment in the City of Locust Grove. With access to Interstate 75 between Atlanta and Macon (with convenient access from I-16 and the Port of Savannah), Locust Grove boasts prime access to a region of over 7 million people and is working with our partners at the Atlanta Regional Commission and Georgia DOT in the next phase of the new Bethlehem Road Interchange at I-75 near the 214 mile marker.

The City of Locust Grove is actively involved in Transportation Planning with Henry County, the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) and the Georgia Department of Transportation. Current activities include the beginning phases of a 5-year update to the Joint Henry County Comprehensive Transportation Plan, updates to Bill Gardner at I-75 and at State Highway 42, traffic signal installation at Market Place Boulevard and SR 42, among others.
